Křivoklát Castle is one of the country’s most important royal castles, hidden deep within forests above
the Berounka Valley. A former royal residence
and hunting castle, it played a key role in Czech medieval history.
Točník Castle and Žebrák Castle form a unique
twin-castle complex rising side by side above
the valley. Together they illustrate the transition from early medieval fortifications to later royal architecture.
